How BuildQuantify decides what to publish, what to index, and how calculator assumptions are communicated.

One page should solve one real planning problem

We avoid creating near-duplicate pages only to target slightly different search phrases. A calculator or guide should have a distinct purpose, useful instructions and enough context to stand on its own even without advertising.

Calculations should be explainable

Calculator pages describe the measurement logic, unit expectations, important assumptions and common reasons real material use can differ from theoretical geometry. When product density, package coverage or installation requirements vary, the page tells users what must be confirmed separately.

Unit handling is part of accuracy

Inputs should identify whether values are feet, inches, square feet, meters, centimeters or square meters. Where practical, switching unit systems converts existing values rather than silently reinterpreting the same number as a different unit.

Supporting content should add judgment, not filler

Guides focus on measurement choices, waste, compaction, product coverage, ordering checks and common estimating mistakes. Repeating generic paragraphs across many pages does not meet the intended standard.

Multilingual pages are reviewed before indexing

Additional language editions can remain accessible to users while marked noindex. A language edition should not be promoted for search indexing until the primary page content—not only menus and labels—has been reviewed for usefulness and language quality.

Advertising stays secondary

BuildQuantify does not intentionally show empty advertising placeholders on finished pages. If advertising is introduced, the calculator and supporting content remain the main purpose of the page.

Updates and corrections

Calculators and guides should be revised when formulas, unit handling, terminology or user needs change. Important quantities should still be verified against current manufacturer, supplier, plan or code requirements before purchase or construction.
